SPIRIT Club is expanding to the greater Denver area! This marks an exciting new chapter for our community as we bring inclusive fitness opportunities to Colorado for the very first time.

About SPIRIT Club

SPIRIT Club is an inclusive fitness organization that brings people of all abilities together through community, fun, and universally designed exercise programs. We believe fitness is for everyone, and we’re here to make that a reality.

Founded over 13 years ago, SPIRIT Club has grown into one of the leading supportive fitness companies in the country. We work with both individuals and organizations that support people of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities, offering programs that meet people where they are, in person, virtually, or in partnership with their communities.

Our certified personal trainers and group class instructors are highly experienced in working with people of all abilities, and we design our exercises based on Universal Design principles to ensure accessibility for everyone.

We also take pride in hiring people with disabilities (self-advocates) as part of our staff, because inclusion doesn’t just happen in our classes, it’s built into the fabric of who we are.

As one member put it: “SPIRIT Club is not your typical gym atmosphere. It’s got a very special ‘come as you are’ vibe that makes you happy to be there the minute you walk in. The staff and trainers are friendly, patient and seem to genuinely love what they do. If you are looking for a place that offers exercise and community for all abilities, you can’t do any better than SPIRIT Club.”

Why Denver?

Denver’s vibrant community, commitment to inclusion, and love for outdoor activity make it the perfect home for SPIRIT Club.

This expansion is especially meaningful for our founder, Jared Ciner, who was born and raised in Denver. Bringing SPIRIT Club back to his hometown has been a longtime dream, and now, it’s becoming a reality.

But it’s not just personal. Denver is a city that values community, health, and accessibility. With a strong network of disability organizations, a thriving culture of fitness, and a population that embraces both wellness and inclusivity, Denver is an ideal place for SPIRIT Club to grow.

By partnering with local organizations, families, and advocates, SPIRIT Club will help fill a growing need for accessible fitness programs that welcomes everyone. Together, we’ll create opportunities for movement, connection, and belonging, all while celebrating the unique spirit of Denver.

Our Vision for the Colorado Hub

We want our Colorado SPIRIT Club to bring all the best aspects of the original SPIRIT Club and enhance it with everything that makes Colorado unique.

From the Original SPIRIT Club, you can expect:

  • Dozens of community classes across a wide variety of formats, including Fitness, Yoga, Zumba, Boxing, and Beats (our signature drumming fitness), all designed to be accessible for everyone.
  • Trainers who are experts not only in fitness, but also in working with people of all needs and ability levels.
  • Partnerships with disability support agencies, offering private classes to provide meaningful fitness opportunities within their organizations.

With our Colorado hub, we’re adding even more:

  • A greater emphasis on outdoor activities, taking advantage of Denver’s beautiful climate and mountain surroundings.
  • New classes and clubs inspired by Colorado’s best attributes, such as hiking and climbing on.
  • Specialized yoga and flexibility programming, drawing on our Hub Leader, Tawny’s extensive background as a yoga instructor to bring new depth and accessibility to movement in the Denver community.

Our hope is that SPIRIT Club in Colorado will not just be a place for people to exercise and get healthy, but a true community that values inclusion, socialization, and fun. It will be a hub where people of all abilities can move, connect, and thrive — while embracing the adventurous spirit of Colorado.

Meet Our Hub Lead: Tawny Becker

We’re proud to introduce Tawny Becker as the Hub Lead for SPIRIT Club Colorado.

Tawny has been teaching fitness and yoga since 2014 and is a personal trainer with a passion for inclusive, empowering movement. She has taught both group and private sessions across a wide range of fitness levels and even led Yoga on the Rocks at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

As a mother to a daughter with Down syndrome, Tawny is deeply committed to creating accessible fitness opportunities for individuals of all abilities. She has partnered with several organizations within the disability community and brings a compassionate, personalized approach to every session she leads. Her goal is simple: to make movement fun, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

Looking Ahead

Our plan is to begin our Colorado expansion in the greater Denver area, with facilities planned in multiple areas, including Cherry Creek and Littleton. For members and organizations nearby, you’ll be able to join us at one of our gyms, or we can meet you right where you are, whether that’s in your building, your home, or out in the community.

For Coloradans who may not be close to Denver, we’re committed to making SPIRIT Club accessible through our robust virtual platform, so you can join classes and connect with our community from anywhere.

Looking further ahead, our hope is that as we solidify our foundation in Denver, we’ll be able to expand to other parts of Colorado in the coming years, growing our inclusive fitness community across the state.

Denver is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes us together!
